Fruit production commences later than Rubygem and continues throughout the season. Fruit is bright red with good flavour, and is firm, attractive, with conical to pointy tips. It has better resistance to rain damage than other varieties. As with Camarosa, flavour is best when harvested fully mature. Fruit are well displayed on long pedicels. Although some smalls may occur, Festival is well known for high quality production and little unmarketable fruit. Fruit are well presented which makes picking and packing a breeze.
